Mount Tara is famous around the world for its marvelous viewpoints, and now, on its slopes, another one has sprung up that offers a spectacular view of the Drina River valley, Lake Perućac, and the Osat region in the Republic of Srpska. This new viewpoint, named Zelenika, adds to the charm of the mountain beauty of Tara, which many describe as a gem of the Balkan nature.
Zelenika se uzdiže iznad gustih šuma i planinskih potoka, nudi posetiocima ne samo priliku da se dive prirodnim lepotama ovog područja, već i da se osveže u mirnom okruženju. Drvena ograda koja obavija vidikovac ne samo da pruža sigurnost, već i estetski doprinosi celokupnom doživljaju ovog prirodnog dragulja. Posetioci mogu provesti sate sedeći na stolicama ili ležaljkama ispod nadstrešnica, promatrajući promenljive nijanse boja i svetlosnih igara koje obasjavaju jezero Perućac. Zvuk tišine, prekinut povremenim šumom vetra i ptica, čini ovu lokaciju savršenim mestom za beg od svakodnevnog stresa.
Preservation of a national park
Furthermore, the National Park Tara, in cooperation with various partners, is continuously working on the preservation and enhancement of this natural gem of the Balkans. In addition to Zelenika, there were already ten other developed viewpoints in the National Park Tara, and there are plans to develop the Vrla Ripa viewpoint, known as Uroševa stena, in collaboration with the Tourist Organization "Tara-Drina" Bajina Bašta and the Tourist Organization of the Western Serbia region. This will provide additional opportunities to explore the natural beauty of Tara and enjoy unforgettable views of this beautiful mountain. The National Park Tara remains dedicated to preserving these natural beauties so that future generations can enjoy all the charms of this mountain beauty.
